The sign up sheets are now up for the 2016 singles and pairs knockouts. Entry needs to be in by the end of May, so make sure you drop in and get involved. 

The Lombard Qualifying event will be taking place on Saturday, 7 May, and there are still spaces available. This is a great event to get involved in, with a chance to play in the regional finals up for grabs.

Complete Equipment Solution

Throughout May and June, we will be running our Complete Equipment Solution. This gives you the opportunity to have a FREE fitting and a FREE after sales lesson with one of our PGA Professionals here at Bleadon Hill. 



The purpose of running this offer is two-fold: 

Firstly we want you, our customers, to experience the benefits of a custom fitting, and how much it can improve your game. For example even in the last few weeks we have had customers gaining over 20 yards in distance, and reducing the dispersion of each shot, just through using the right club, shaft combination as a result of a custom fitting. 

Secondly, we want to give back to you to thank you for your continued custom. The after sales lesson will hopefully help you settle into your new clubs, so you can hit the ground running from your first round.

Whilst doing lesson over the past few week's, many discussions have been had regarding the state of their grips. Many golfers are currently playing with grips that are worn and shiny, and could be having harmful effects on their golf.

Hopefully you're all starting to enjoy a bit more golf now that we're into spring. In an effort to help you shoot lower scores, we'd like to share a few wedge play secrets. 

One of the biggest causes of loose ball striking is poor ball positioning. So… 

1. Check your ball is positioned correctly under your sternum (pictured below). 
2. Now, you need to stay balanced and avoid swaying with your backswing. Leaning back to help the ball up moves the bottom of your swing arc away from the ball. 
3. Once you're set-up correctly, it's about trusting the loft of your wedge to do its job. A good way to guarantee this is to take a divot after the ball, which should also help create spin for added control.
